You didn’t end up here by accident. No, you are not some wayward leaf blown around by the random winds of fate. Before you ever drew your first breath in this body, the real you, the big you, the you behind the curtain, sat down and said, “Alright, here’s the adventure I’m going to have.”
The life you are living right now? That’s your theme. Your song. Your self-created path. It’s the road you laid down, paved with all the twists, turns, potholes, and scenic overlooks your Higher Self thought might be interesting to explore. And no, it’s not some punishment or some prize. It’s a journey. One you chose.
See, you are more than this “temporary person” you see in the mirror, much more. You are a towering being of energy, a traveler from the endless wellspring of existence itself. In your Higher Self state, you chose this physical ride to explore, express, and experience a certain flavor of existence.
That’s your so-called destiny. But don’t get it twisted, destiny isn’t a trap. It’s a field. A vast, fertile field where you get to decide whether you run barefoot through the flowers, dig trenches, build castles, or even sit under a tree and watch the clouds roll by. Free will reigns supremely within the boundaries you agreed upon.
You can run. You can walk. You can crawl if you want to. You can drive a shiny car, ride a horse, or take exit after exit and see where the side roads lead. There are rabbit holes, secret doors, mountain peaks, and dark valleys. It’s all fair game.
But always, always remember: you are the one steering.
You are not alone either. You have a Greater Self, a vast network of spirit, soul, oversoul, higher self, all the way up to the Source of All Life. All of it, you. All of it connected. You have the right and ability to form any kind of direct relationship you want with the Source of All Life.
And to help you navigate, I like how Bashar reveals there are Five Laws, ironclad but straightforward, like the bedrock of reality itself:
- You Exist. You can’t “not exist.” You are eternal.
- Everything Is Here and Now. Time and space are illusions; all that is, is now.
- The One Is the All and the All Are the One. Separation is an illusion. Everything is connected.
- What You Put Out Is What You Get Back. Reality mirrors you.
- Everything Changes, Except the Laws. Movement and change are constant, but these truths remain.
Use these as your compass when you hear any new ideas, especially those dipped in spiritual or metaphysical language. If they don’t fit through this filter, something’s off. It might be a well-meaning error or an old belief layered on top of truth, obscuring it, like grime on a window.
Perception Frames Your Experience
Let’s take a simple example: the sunset.
For thousands of years, it looked like the sun was setting. Poets sang about it. Lovers swooned under it. But in reality, the sun wasn’t moving at all. The Earth was rotating. The experience was beautiful and valid, but the mechanics were misunderstood.
And that’s exactly how it is with your life. Just because something appears a certain way on the surface doesn’t mean it is the full truth underneath.
You are not a victim of some grand cosmic machinery. You are the one turning the gears.
You don’t lose the poetry when you start to understand the actual causal mechanism, that your beliefs create your reality. You don’t lose the sunset. You simply appreciate it more deeply. You marvel at the dance between perception and truth.
You can still have your sunsets. But now you can also pilot the Earth if you want to.
Embrace the Joy of Creation
You are a Creator, and reality is your playground.
The only question is: What will be the most fun for you to create next?
