I don’t regularly get involved with political issues, but when I do, I think I’ve noticed something significant. For instance, “Let’s indict, subpoena, or arrest former President Trump.” Okay, let’s do it, making this the first time a former president will face criminal charges of any kind.
I find this tremendously interesting. Not because of Trump, but because the servant barrier has been broken. Until now, there has been a protective layer that prevented the prosecution of higher-level public servants, the United States Presidency being the highest office of any kind in the public servant hierarchy.
I have been around quite a long time, and I have never seen anything like this before. I have recently seen many things change, like this, which has never happened before.
I don’t think many of us realize what a servant’s job is, otherwise we wouldn’t let any servant boss us around as if they were our supervisors.
- They have agreed to be our servants because we are the public and they are the public servants. Regardless of their job description, we individually, are the superior of all public servants, unless we personally violated something covered in the original national or state contracts which constitute our country. Such a violation could give them jurisdiction over us.
- They each have taken a solemn oath to protect our contract which constitutes this country from all enemies foreign or domestic while being our servants.
- They need to understand that all they own is on the line if they take a check and do not act as the servants they chose to be.
What strikes me so interestingly about this whole mess, is that it changes everything. Everything changes from this point forward. It almost makes me wonder if there is something behind this one act that will force the changing of all things from this point forward.
If I think about it, many government officials have enjoyed, and taken advantage of, this legal film of protection, and as of this last week, that will have evaporated. No longer will these political figures be protected, from the highest office all the way down to the locals.
For the first time in our history that I know of, these public servants can be held legally and personally liable for their wicked side deals or wishy-washy shenanigans.
That, to me, is the most interesting part of all this post-presidential political drama.
Regardless of how things turn out for this former president, all the other former presidents and every public servant under the highest office better start shuddering in their boots. Because from now on, they all are in the same boat.
The veil has been lifted and from this point forward, for the first time, all of your servants will be held accountable.
Interesting, isn’t it?
