Time to Stop Playing Caterpillar by Herb Roi Richards

Okay, where are we really at in Earth life? Let’s just set aside the polite mumbo-jumbo and get down to the bare wire. We’ve been so wrapped up in crawling, chewing, and surviving the grind that we’ve nearly forgotten we’re meant to fly. That’s right. You and me both. We’ve been kept so damn busy playing caterpillar that it hasn’t even occurred to most of us that Earth isn’t the whole show. It’s the sandbox. The human race is still in kindergarten, not out there doing what it came to do. This isn’t your career, sweetheart. It’s prep work.

I mean, have you looked around? Folks are out here fighting over toys, building taller sandcastles, bragging about who’s got the shiniest backpack of beliefs, and then crying when someone else kicks it all down. That’s caterpillar behavior. Slow, hungry, territorial, defensive, clinging to the ground like it’s the only option.

And yet… inside every one of us is a blueprint. A butterfly code.

We’re not here to perfect the crawl. We’re here to grow wings. Metaphorically, energetically, spiritually. This Earth plane is a place for transformation. A place where you come in soft-bodied, instinct-driven, and full of appetite. If you’re lucky, if you’re awake enough, you come out flying with purpose, grace, and a whole new perspective.

That doesn’t mean it’s pretty. Becoming what you’re meant to be requires a kind of death. The caterpillar dissolves in its cocoon. It dissolves, friend. It doesn’t pray politely for wings and keep all its legs. You’ve got to let the old ways go. Your fears, your false identities, your addictions to approval and safety, melt it down. Compost it. Turn it into nectar fuel.

That’s what I had to do after my whole world got cracked wide open. Personal tragedy will do that. System betrayal. Government lies. Medical dogma. It all forced me to ask, “What the hell am I really doing here?” And the answer wasn’t, “Get more comfortable crawling.” No. It was, Get your wings, old man. Time to fly.

And no, I don’t mean some woo-woo escape into fantasy land. I mean real evolution. I mean unlocking your internal tech, your nerve system alignment, your energy coherence, your access to universal intelligence. I mean discovering you’re more than your job title, your trauma history, or your cholesterol levels. You’re a version of the Source of all life in skin. You’re a butterfly with a memory problem.

So, here’s your wake-up call. Stop arguing about caterpillar politics. Stop taking advice from folks who’ve never left the leaf. Stop delaying your transformation because you’re worried someone might not like your wingspan.

You’re not here to live a normal life. You’re here to grow up, wake up, and show up as what you really are: a luminous, sovereign, multidimensional being with business far beyond the sandbox.

This Earth life? It’s school. Learn the lessons. Then take flight.

And if anyone tells you you’re crazy for believing there’s more, well, you just smile and flap those wings anyway. Butterflies don’t waste time explaining metamorphosis to caterpillars. We just go on about our business of becoming even more.
