Who Knew? The Real Power of Vitamin C

There was a time when I thought vitamin C was just another vitamin—something you needed in tiny amounts to keep scurvy away and support your immune system. That’s what I learned in school, anyway. But life has a funny way of teaching us what we really need to know, doesn’t it? Here’s what I’ve learned about vitamin C, and why I now believe it’s one of the most important tools we have for staying healthy.

Let’s go back in time a bit. Before the industrial revolution, people lived in a much cleaner environment. Back then, small amounts of vitamin C were enough to keep the body running smoothly. But with the rise of factories, pollution, and toxic chemicals, our world—and our bodies—became overloaded with industrial waste. This isn’t just “out there” in the air we breathe or the water we drink—it’s inside us, in every cell.
